Casablanca — Paul and Pat’s Travels

Casablanca is the largest city in Morocco, it’s financial center and has a very large port. The area was originally settled by the Berbers in the 8th century but by the time the French arrived in 1907, they found fewer than 20,000 people here. Within five years, the French established it as a protectorate, built a port and started to build the city using Marseille as the model. The city has a European business city feel.
